I’m back from summer vacation. It was a wonderful time filled with lots of little outings and mini-vacations in northern Germany. Plenty of time to think, feel, and enjoy. Plenty of time to ground myself, and precious time with my family.
I’ve received a lot of positive feedback over the past few weeks and months, which has truly made me happy. It’s clear to me now—our work together isn’t just about coaching; it’s about building a valuable relationship through our collaboration—one that’s based on trust, is enduring, and that even the pandemic can’t undermine. We’re part of a strong network of mutual support and interaction: You commit to the coaching process and your journey, and I’m here—now and whenever you need me, whether in the near or distant future.
Good relationships thrive on give and take. It’s important to me to commit to building a strong relationship with you as my client—to take the initiative and show solidarity during these challenging times. And I want to do that by offering a little extra service here and there and by providing even better support for each person’s unique journey . Beyond that, I want to inspire people to join me in giving something back to society and helping others on their journey. Here’s what I’m implementing effective immediately:
Much more service:
Appointment reminders via the electronic calendar, virtual folders with comprehensive documentation of the coaching process (extremely useful for overviews, reflections, and celebrating successes), and appointments via virtual platforms as needed—all of this is now standard practice for me.
Through October 31, 2020, I am offering a very significant price reduction for self-paying clients: Anyone who purchases a coaching package of 10 hours or more pays only €120 + VAT instead of the regular €150 + VAT. This represents a 20% discount. In addition, I’m passing on the 3% VAT reduction to my clients.
Starting now, anyone who wishes to do so can conveniently pay for coaching sessions or packages on-site via EC card.
More support during your personal journey:
We now have a “Wall of Fame.” A personalized “I WAS HERE” in my coaching practice serves as a testament to the personal journey each client has undergone, what he or she has realized, or what he or she has set out to achieve. I’m already looking forward to the moment when you or other clients return one day and marvel at how far you’ve come since that milestone.
Starting now, there is a “letter to my future self.” At the end of the coaching session, I ask you, as my client, to write a “letter to my future self”: The purpose of this is to encourage you to continue working on your personal development, to remind you of key moments from your process, and to motivate you. I seal the letter and make sure to mail it to you on a specific date in the future.
As some of you already know, I also offer coaching sessions in English and French, and upon request, I provide LUXXprofile Master training in both languages. My goal is to open up this field to those who would otherwise be excluded due to language barriers.
Let’s do something— together
Starting in November, I’ll have another, larger space available. That’s when I’ll start offering a special once a quarter: a Saturday group workshop on a specific topic—such as goal setting, conflict resolution, or building self-confidence. If you’d like to attend the workshop for free as a client, just bring a friend along. This is a great way for us to stay in touch and inspire others to explore working with me . Save the date: the first workshop will take place on November 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In January, after all the Christmas festivities, we’ll kick things off with a “Cometogether” by the fire. In winter, we’ll gather by the fireplace; in summer, around a campfire. This creates a new opportunity for exchange and inspiration—very intimate, low-key, and with invited guests. This has nothing to do with typical networking events. The evening fire has an archaic quality: as the world grows dark, the only thing that matters is what lies within the glow of the fire—and the stories told there. A wonderful opportunity to reflect on life, share thoughts, seek advice, and have a good time. Save the date: the first “Cometogether” by the fire will take place on January 22, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Starting November 1, 2020, you can continue to purchase session packages at a discounted rate: for 10 hours or more, you’ll receive a 10% discount (i.e., €135 instead of €150). In addition, you have the option to donate coaching hours or voluntarily top up your purchase to €150 even with the discount. The equivalent amount will be deposited into a special fund—this money will be used for:
- Coaching sessions titled “Off to a Good Start”: Young people with limited financial means can participate in coaching—including personality assessments—either fully or partially free of charge
- Coaching sessions titled “We Stick Together”: People who have suddenly lost their jobs and/or are struggling with other challenging circumstances receive coaching that is either fully or partially free of charge
In consultation with these coachees who have received support, I will write down their stories and publish them on my blog. This brings the circle full, connecting those who give and those who receive.
Outlook for 2022:
I like making commitments because “putting something out into the world” creates an external obligation that, in my experience, helps—me, of course, just like everyone else. That’s why I’m already going to go ahead and share some news from 2022:
In September, I’ll begin the second year of my systemic training as a family constellation facilitator with Carola von Bismarck. I’ll complete this comprehensive training in September 2022—clients can certainly already benefit from what I’ve learned in coaching sessions if they come to me with a relevant issue. After receiving my certification, I will begin conducting family constellations, thereby expanding my range of services.
A very wise mentor once told me, “If you really want to help people, you have to go deeper.” Next year, I’ll be taking the exam to become a certified psychotherapy practitioner. This underscores what’s already a reality today: if we want to grow, we sometimes have to dig a little deeper or look further back. Interventions drawn from a therapeutic context definitely have a place in coaching, because they’re very effective.
Next year, my Labrador, Paula, will begin her training to become a therapy dog. Even now, Paula is there almost every day, helping out with coaching, training, and workshops. During and after her training, I plan to involve her more in topics related to self-esteem.
