How Raiffeisen Waren Is Successfully Transforming Its Leadership

Leadership transformation doesn’t happen just because of a new organizational chart. Nor does it happen because of a concept paper. It happens when people become the starting point—not an afterthought.

@Raiffeisen Waren did exactly that.

When the Energy & Markets division underwent a strategic realignment, it quickly became clear that new goals alone weren’t enough. What was needed was a shared understanding of leadership—and a vision that isn’t just abstract, but one that provides real support. Division heads @Marco Weide and @Reinhard Kirchner have embarked on a unique path with coach and ID37 instructor @Sabine Happe.

Based on the ID37 motivational profiles of 25 executives, a vision with strong appeal was developed through an iterative process, and areas of action, role clarity, leadership goals, and specific measures were derived from it.

The executives found the combination of the ID37 analysis, clarity regarding their own areas of responsibility, and the leadership training and leadership game with Sabine Happe—which built on that foundation—to be particularly valuable.

The result?

The target vision was established. Obstacles were identified and removed. The initiative was rolled out to all branches. And a role model was created that now serves as a blueprint for leadership development throughout the company.

What this shows is that ID37 is more than just a personality assessment.
It becomes the foundation when companies truly want to bring leadership, culture, and change together.
